The engine was professionally serviced in spring 2019 with all new filters and impeller.
The water pump has had a new seal and a small diesel leak has been fixed
by the replacement of a small copper pipe which was probably original.

The engine inlet seacock was replaced in April 2019.
The steering gearbox was serviced and bearings replaced in April 2019.
The Perkins engine is used world-wide and was one of the commonest taxi engines,
which means that parts are generally much better priced than more modern engines
and, we have read, are available in far-flung parts of the world.
Engine : Perkins 4108 38hp original in good working condition
Gearbox : Replaced by Stephenson Marine for us
Diesel tank : 75 gals (approx. 340 litres) ; Stainless steel tank
Maximum speed : 7 knots approx.
Fuel consumption : 0.6 gallons/hour at cruising speed
Cruising range : 650 nautical miles approx.
Prop : 2-bladed fixed (also spare 3-bladed fixed)
Shaft : has Ambassador rope-cutter (1994)
Cooling : Indirect
Alternator : 70A (also mains smart battery charger - see Electrical and Charging)
Bow thruster : Vetus (2003) ; 100Ah battery (2017)
Extractor Fan : Engine and battery compartment
Steering : Whitlock wheel steering recently serviced
